This carbon monoxide detector is one of those things you don't think about until you really need it – and then you're glad you have it.

It's a 2-pack, so you can put one near the bedrooms and another near the garage or kitchen.
Runs on 3 AA batteries (not included) and has a big LCD screen that shows CO levels in PPM once it hits 30 or above – otherwise the display stays off to save battery life, which is actually pretty clever.

The sensor inside is an electrochemical type, which is the good stuff – accurate, sensitive, and reliable.
When it detects CO, you get a loud 85-decibel alarm with four short beeps and a flashing red LED.
If the battery gets low, it'll chirp every 30 seconds (green LED flashes) so you're not caught off guard.

Testing is easy: just press the test button for five seconds and it'll beep and flash to confirm it's working.

They also include a handy memory function that shows the peak CO level if you press the button after an alarm.
