The material is rubber and plastic foam, which is soft, elastic, and easy to bend.

This stuff does a great job at thermal insulation – low thermal conductivity means hot pipes stay hot and cold pipes don't sweat.

It also works as a moisture barrier, so you won't get that ugly condensation dripping.

Flame retardant too – it won't melt and spread fire, and it's safe for use from -50°C all the way up to 110°C.
