Ideal for use with tapping machines, drill presses, CNC lathes, or even manual tapping if you're careful.

Recommended speeds depend on material—cast iron around 8-10 m/min, steel at 6-15 m/min, harder stuff slower.

Also, use cutting oil and take it easy with blind holes—these are better for through holes.
