These are right-hand cutting taps with a straight flute design – perfect for through holes and shallow blind holes (not deep blind holes though, so keep that in mind).

You can use them with manual tools or machine setups like tapping machines, drill presses, CNC lathes, or machining centers.

Speeds matter: go slower on harder materials – general steel at 6-15 m/min, harder steel 5-10, stainless 2-7, and cast iron 8-10 m/min.

Don’t forget cutting fluid or coolant to keep temps down and extend tap life.
And if it gets tough to turn, back off and clear chips.
