It's made from 6542 high-speed steel (M2 grade), so it's tough, holds an edge, and resists wear even when you're pushing it through harder metals.

Straight flute design works great for through holes and shallow blind holes – just don't try it on deep blind holes, 'cause that's not what it's for.

Cuts clean threads in copper, brass, aluminum, cast iron, and A3 steel without chewing them up.

You can run it on a tapping machine, CNC lathe, machining center, or even by hand if you're careful.
Feed speeds depend on the material – hard steel around 5-10 m/min, cast iron 8-10, mild steel 6-15.

Always use coolant to keep the heat down and prevent snapping, and wear safety glasses.

Accuracy is 2B, so you get good fit and finish.
