If you make your own dowels, this A2 steel dowel plate is a serious upgrade.

It's got 17 different hole sizes ranging from 1/8 inch all the way up to 5/8 inch in 1/32-inch increments – that's a ton of flexibility for any woodworking project.
The plate measures about 15.

2 cm by 5 cm, and it's 1 cm thick, so it's sturdy and won't flex under pressure.

Each hole is CNC laser cut and high-temperature quenched to 58-62 hardness, then sandblasted and nickel-plated for corrosion resistance.

The edges are rounded to prevent scratching, and the countersunk hole design makes cutting smoother.

There are also two discharge holes and grooves on the sides so you can mount it securely to your workbench.

To use it, just chisel your blank square, find the right hole, tap it through, then move down to the next hole size to get a perfectly round dowel.
