4-pound soft-face hammer that comes with two insert faces: one black composite rubber (medium hard, impact-absorbing, odorless, low-wear) and one white nylon (hard, super wear-resistant, oil/grease resistant, and won't chip even in cold temps).

What makes Halder unique is the split cast iron housing.
It locks the faces securely, but you can take it apart and swap faces when they wear out—way cheaper than buying a whole new mallet.

The housing also extends down the handle to protect it from overstrikes, so the hickory handle lasts longer.

Handle is ergonomically shaped with a double varnish coat to resist dirt and improve grip.
