This nichrome flat heating wire is made of Cr20Ni80 – that's 20% chromium and 80% nickel – which gives it great oxidation resistance, high resistivity, and excellent strength.

It's 2mm in diameter (well, width since it's flat ribbon) and can handle temperatures up to 1200°C, with a melting point around 1400°C.

So yeah, it can take some serious heat.
