3 lb soft-face mallet that's perfect when you need to strike something hard without leaving marks.
The inserts are TPE-soft (blue) and TPE-mid (grey) – both are thermoplastic elastomers that don't leave any color transfer or black scuff marks like regular rubber mallets do.

The blue one is the softest in the Simplex line – great for delicate work where you need strong impact cushioning.
The grey one is medium-hard and delivers more forceful blows, comparable to composite rubber inserts.
So you get two options in one tool.

The housing is cast iron with an integrated handle protection sleeve, so it's tough and break-resistant.
