This little Zooz ZSE43 sensor is a beast for keeping tabs on your garage door or gate.
It’s a tilt and acceleration sensor all in one, so you can mount it vertically for classic tilt detection or horizontally for more unique setups – just don’t use it on swinging doors or gates, stick to the up-and-down kind.
If your garage door opens unexpectedly, it sends an alert straight to your Z-Wave hub so you know right away.
It also picks up shock and movement, which opens up creative security uses like monitoring cabinets or glass panels – pretty cool, right?

The thing is tiny – only 1.

9 inches by 1 inch – so it fits discreetly on almost any frame or surface without sticking out like a sore thumb.
Inside there’s a 700 series Z-Wave chip, which gives you longer range (up to 300 feet in open space), better battery life, and top-tier S2 security with SmartStart for fully encrypted communication.
It runs on one CR2032 battery that’s included.
Now, heads up – this works with open Z-Wave systems only.
Think SmartThings, Hubitat, Home Assistant with Z-WaveJS, and HomeSeer.
It will NOT play nice with Wink or alarm panels like ADT, Vivint, Qolsys, or Ring Alarm.
So make sure your hub is compatible before you buy.

If you want to put it outside, it’s splash-resistant but you’ll need a separate waterproof case – just ask Zooz about it.
